<p>2. Shrink your acne with ice cubes. Cover two or three ice cubes with washcloth, and hold it against your acne-affected skin for about 8 or 10 minutes, this will minimize the swelling and prevent breakouts.</p>
<p>3. Eyedrops. Use eyedrops to reduce the redness of your acne-affected skin. Two or three drops will do.</p>
<p>4. Zinc and vitamin c. Eating food that is rich in zinc and vitamin c like meat, beans and fruits strengthen and protect your skin from damage caused by acne. These foods will also help the skin to heal more quickly.</p>
<p>5. Minimize caffeine intake. Caffeine tastes good, but it can dehydrate your skin, and if your skin is dry, you will have more pimples. Furthermore, caffeine is a stimulant; it stimulates everything in your body including the androgen that is responsible for producing sebum.</p>

<p>The 49ers gave the Minnesota Vikings all they could take &#8211; it took a Favre miracle pass for the Vikings to win. RB Frank Gore has the potential for another 1,600 yard season and QB Shaun Hill is getting better by the game.</p>
<p>The defense is led by Patrick Willis; the 49ers defense has held its competition to just 26 total points in each of the team&#8217;s first two games. He has enough help around him to make it very difficult for teams to get in the end zone.</p>
<p>The Seattle Seahawks aren&#8217;t what the use to be, the St. Louis Rams could possibly be the worst team in the NFL and the Arizona Cardinals haven&#8217;t been on the same page all season long. The 49ers might not be the front-runners in the NFC, but if they keep moving in the direction Coach Singletary is taking them they will be the favorites one day.</p>
<p>The glory days of the 49ers might be gone but they are in the process of rebuilding another Super Bowl type team. This year might not be their Super Bowl season, in a couple years the 49ers could raise the Vince Lombardi trophy for their 6th time and the teams first since&#8217;95.</p>
<p>Coach Singletary is the perfect man for the job to make this happen, the 49ers are a young team and need a &#8220;general&#8221; like coach to keep them on the straight and narrow.</p>
<p>Coach Singletary was a great defensive player in his day for the Chicago Bears or &#8220;Monsters of the Midway&#8221;. If he can instill the knowledge to his defense and create and terrifying defense that resembles the great Chicago Bears defenses of the&#8217;80s &#8211; the 49ers will be a contender for years.</p>
<p>For this to happen, additional playmakers on the offense might be needed, but what team in the NFL can&#8217;t use more offensive weapons? At least they have Crabtree in the works. He can be the big time player they need out wide.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Like Scylla and Charybdis, the twin sea monsters of Greek mythology, diabetes and obesity are the twin medical monsters confronting America&#8217;s children. Diabetes and obesity have even been featured as the story line in a recent episode of Law &amp; Order, a show well-known for focusing on issues that matter.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s going on? Diabetes and obesity are twin raging epidemics endangering the health and welfare of our nation&#8217;s children. In New York City, by the age of 4, there is a one in three chance that the child will be obese. More than 40% of children are at an unhealthy weight at ages 2 and 3.1 National statistics are similar.</p>
<p>Type II diabetes, also known as &#8220;adult-onset diabetes&#8221;, is now being recognized as a significant juvenile disorder. Up to 45% of the children diagnosed with diabetes have the type II form.2 And the numbers keep increasing.</p>
<p>Type II diabetes and obesity are closely related. And being overweight is one of the two major risk factors for developing type II diabetes. The other major risk factor, not surprisingly, is lack of exercise &#8211; not being physically active.</p>
<p>Why be concerned? Both diabetes and obesity contribute to additional severe health issues. Obesity is the leading cause of pediatric high blood pressure and increases the risk of coronary heart disease. Uncontrolled diabetes, over time, can lead to heart disease, kidney disease, neurologic disorders, and blindness.</p>
<p>So we are very concerned for our children&#8217;s well-being. The good news &#8211; and it is very good news &#8211; is both conditions are lifestyle-related. Bad diet and lack of exercise cause both conditions. This is well-known. It is also well-known that maintaining a healthy diet and getting regular exercise prevents obesity and prevents or delays type II diabetes.3,4</p>
<p>As parents, it is up to us to set the standards. If we&#8217;re eating healthy, balanced meals, our kids will do the same. If we exercise regularly and keep ourselves fit and trim, our kids will exercise regularly, too.</p>

Ever dealt with the shortness of breath that is stinky to begin with?  Giving it up may appear beyond your willpower. But there are lifelong smokers who stopped and then added years to their lives.  How do they do it?  First they make a commitment to ending the addiction.  But that may not be enough.</p>

<p>Even worse, sugars elevates insulin which is a hormone that regulates arm fat loss. So if you have high levels of insulin, the flabby arms will never go away no matter what you do.</p>
<p>Hence, it is imperative that you win the war on sugar to finally get slim and sexy arms that are no longer flabby.</p>
<p>So here is how to ditch the sugar so that the flabby arms go away:</p>
<p><b>1. Embrace the withdrawal.</b> Simply being aware that there will be a sugar withdrawal puts you way ahead of the game. Many women just go around in circles and do not really understand what is going on.</p>
<p><b>2. Always stay full.</b> Once your blood sugar drops, your brain will send you on a sugar bingeing hunt. So make sure you eat consistently and never starve.</p>

You get all the flavor without any calories or insulin spikes. Just be careful, though, because the science is unclear about whether sweeteners are safe.</p>
<p><b>5. Have loose leaf teas.</b> Yerba mate is your best bet here. This tea is so powerful that it can knock out your cravings for an entire day. The only catch here is that you may have some trouble sleeping. Make sure you have the loose leaf version.</p>
<p>Getting rid of flabby arms and sugar addictions do not mix. I strongly recommend that you attack your sugar addiction head on if you really want lean and toned arms. Once the sugar intake is lowered, insulin will go down and you will be well on your way to flabby arm freedom.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lately, when I&#8217;ve been interviewed about smoking cessation, the host will usually ask, &#8220;Isn&#8217;t nicotine addiction the reason most people are not able to successfully quit smoking?&#8221; They are surprised when I tell them nicotine is not a real addictive substance because it doesn&#8217;t have the characteristics of an addictive substance. The drive or compulsion to smoke cigarettes is strictly psychological.</p>
<p>The interviewers are surprised because addiction to cigarettes (nicotine) has been used as a rationalization as to why it is so hard to quit smoking. The truth is, nicotine does not present the characteristics of a physical addiction. The real cause of the difficulty to simply quit smoking cigarettes is the Psychological Smoking Mechanism. If you stop cigarettes and don&#8217;t remove this mechanism, you will continue to be a smoker who isn&#8217;t smoking right now. It is the real reason why the smoker, after being off cigarettes for weeks or months, is compelled to start again.</p>
<p>In this article, I will discuss the dynamics of true physical addiction. You will see that nicotine doesn&#8217;t fit in this category. In part 2 of this article, I will discuss more specifics that demonstrate how nicotine is not a true addictive substance and how the Psychological Smoking Mechanism is the real power behind smoking.</p>
<p>If you keep on smoking, how much older do you think it will make you look in a few years from now? You know you want to quit smoking, and that you are addicted. There are a couple of things you can get to stop smoking, like pills and patches and inhalers and chewing gum. But all these programs have a very low success rate, and not many people really kick the habit using these.</p>
<p>How about taking a few lessons on what lung cancer looks like? I&#8217;d bet if you could see what the long-term effects of smoking can do to you, you can convince yourself it is not what you want. Give it a shot, will you. And if it does not work, then we can try something else. The earlier you quit smoking, the better for you. <p>The Buteyko method is a breathing technique developed by a Russian doctor of the same name. The late Doctor Buteyko noticed that people who were sick were breathing in a different manner than people who were not sick. He then thought that if we can consciously do correct breathing, we can reverse the illness we have in the process. Buteyko then started looking to breathing techniques in yoga, and developed his own. The Buteyko breathing technique was then implemented in hospitals. Rumor has it that the method was recognized after a foreigner who was successfully treated with the Buteyko technique spread the good news back in his homeland.</p>
<p>The breathing method that Buteyko developed is no accepted in the medical realm as a valid treatment for asthma. Due to the lack of need for pharmaceutical drugs, Buteyko is still branded as an alternative treatment. The asthmatics of today may find the Buteyko method a little confusing due to the fact that it has shifted and changed over the years. There now exist a variety of styles for the Buteyko method, although the core principles are still the same.</p>
<p>The Buteyko technique is very useful for asthmatics. Once this is mastered, it can help minimize, if not relieve, the breathing difficulties. Even if the Buteyko breathing method is an approved asthma treatment, the asthmatic should not rely on it alone. Alternative medicines and treatments are best used in complement with the prescribed medication from the doctor. For instance, when you are feeling an asthma attack coming, such as mild wheezing, Buteyko breathing can be performed to prevent the asthma attack from worsening while waiting for your medication.</p>
<p>There are other breathing techniques that were developed for treating asthma. Some of them are also to induce a state of relaxation, such as Pranayama. Pranayama is also a yoga derivative. But at the moment, Buteyko is a tested and proven method to help keep asthma and its symptoms under control.</p>
